Hi y'all. I recently decided to fire up my old Switch, and knowing it was hacked (with AutoRCM), I plugged it into my new computer (running Windows 10, using TegraRcmGUI) to send a payload. However, it didn't register. In Device Manager (and Zadig), it's reading as an "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". Hopefully it doesn't mean it's dead -- that'd just suck. It used to work, I mean, I had it up and running just about a month or so ago. There's no reason it shouldn't. In fact, I can tell when it's powered off and when it's in RCM due to Windows' little jingle. And yes, I have tried putting it in other ports, reinstalling the drivers, using different cables, hell I've even used multiple different computers to no avail. If anyone could help, it would REALLY be appreciated. Most of the other questions relating to this issue don't really help in all honesty.

Make sure you install the driver with Tegrasmashgui/TegraRCMGui

the switch use libusbK (v3.0.7.0) driver for the switch, use Zadig to troubleshoot.

Since your says unknown device, good chance you don't have the driver installed, unless there is something wrong with your tablet.

Or there is something wrong with the cable.
I've tried multiple cables, and I have the driver installed. If there could be something wrong with my Switch, what could it be?

Could be a case of where it charge but doesn't transmit data. That is the worse case if you tried multiple computers, cables and already troubleshoot the drivers.

Try using another OS like Android.

happen to me too , tested several cables.
never got nsp install from usb , or nxmtp to work , but launching payloads from pc works with those cables.

until i get the cable of the game & watch 35th mario edition , installed the driver one more time with that short cable, work great for all homebrews now.

edit : before my switch was not reconized as switch or apx in device manager just unknown ,but can send payloads from tegrarcmgui.
