Just like the Switch, it's there to sign into hotel/airplane/airport/public wifi that need some type of credentials.

Working...

DNS: 045.055.142.122

WebKit 613.0

Any downloadable file, such as a txt file, opens automatically. It is not possible to select files.

I'd love to find out it's more modern/powerful than on S1 but I highly doubt it.
I hated the fact that on S1 it wasn't even able to play media from my PLEX server.
When I prepared for Avengers Endgame in cinema, I uploaded all previous MCU movies to one of those 1$ Google Drive Unlimited accounts from eBay because to my surprise, the S1 browser was indeed able to play videos from Google Drive. I knew that the account would be nuked any day but for 1$ I was totally fine with it for a few weeks and managed to watch all MCU movies (one each night in bed before sleeping) and tbh it was pretty cool. :D

You can even do it without the dns thing... I was able to log into my google account, browse my gdrive files, even chatted with gemini for a while. Interestingly google shows a banner about the browser not being supported anymore...
It's super sluggish, youtube, mail and even modern google search doesn't work, the browser throws an error

Exactly I uploaded a GitHub rep back when the switch released for this

It still works without any modifications “DNSwitch4all”

I remember it being so cumbersome to use the browser on the original Switch - so much stuff didn't load, either due to an incompatibility or due to a deliberate block implemented by Nintendo.

No address bar either, you had to navigate back to the initial page for that.

And in addition to all that, there was a forced invisible timer that closes the browser.

I have my doubts that any of this is better on the Switch 2, to be honest.
