There’s been a lot of speculation in the Mig Switch threads about what triggers a ban, and it’s also unclear how many have been affected. (Edit: 1.20 should read 1.2.0.)

YesWhat I'm really curious about is, if you keep your Switch 2 off the internet completely and use a Mig cart, does the Switch 2 keep track of some data about its usage that they can then ban you for later whenever you go online next
As soon as I inserted it and stopped playing a game I own it REALLY wanted to get on the internet to tell big brother. Could be unrelated, but I was nervous enough to do a full system restore and plan to keep it out until the dust settles. Rather chance losing the games than losing the console for now. What I'm really curious about is, if you keep your Switch 2 off the internet completely and use a Mig cart, does the Switch 2 keep track of some data about its usage that they can then ban you for later whenever you go online next
Factory reset won't change anything. The telemetry is still thereAs soon as I inserted it and stopped playing a game I own it REALLY wanted to get on the internet to tell big brother. The bans are usually in wave and factory reset won't remove the telemetry, so it will be uploaded to Nintendo when you connect internet and it is up to system to flag your Switch if telemetry show that you use MIG.As soon as I inserted it and stopped playing a game I own it REALLY wanted to get on the internet to tell big brother. Atmosphere blocked the telemetry from produced and send error codes to SD instead of NAND, however Nintendo has other way to detect the NSP/XCI that where Atmosphere don't prevent.Bet on it.
Until there's a way to remove that telemetry before connecting. But that's very very unlikely without RCM CFW exploit or something along those lines. OR is there a specific site that it sends it to and can be blocked in routers maybe?
I figured. I just see all url's 90dns blocks and i thought that maybe one was specifically for telemetry only, but they wouldnt let you online if that was the case anyways. There is no such as block with router unless you block entire of Nintendo service.
I don't think we can trust this infoThis is direct info from mig switch team..
Just make sure you update the card to the newest update 1.2.0 and use authentic game back ups. And you will have no issues as told to us by the MiG team, they have been testing 50 units non stop since switch 2 release. No bans yet with authentic back ups and they do lots like swap migs between consoles and much more.

even if it working right now and "no ban" so what. Nintendo can block the old firmware, and they can do the same thing to the new firmware again just the matter of time. So if you really want to use the mig switch on switch 2 just prepare to be ban anytime, it not 100% safe. This is direct info from mig switch team..

Well, most people stick to the lowest firmware possible to get the software CFW if possible in the future. Based on how its going with the PS5 we may get something in the future after they fix it with newer updates. Rembember that v1 or modchip are on another level then a mig switch.even if it working right now and "no ban" so what. Using it in the switch 2 with my own dumps and having no issues at all, using the latest fw of the console (20.4.0) and updating the games online. Again, the trick is on what dumps you use... if you use public dumps, you are probably in the same risk factor as it happens with sw1.Well, most people stick to the lowest firmware possible to get the software CFW if possible in the future. This is why im torn what to do. I mean, wait for an cfw and stay offline, or use an MIG and use the switch2 offline (banned or not) you have a working console that will either way stay offline.
