I extracted the files of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, but instead of a s.dat file, there's hundreds of .swd and .smd files. Said files are the correct size you'd see in a converted mid file, but...after running it through sseq2mid, the converted mid files play nothing. Perhaps I'm using the wrong program...? I've spent all day trying to figure this out, I hope someone here knows how to help. The exact reason I want .midi files is because I'm going to remix them, and while I'm at it I'll try to make a pack, since there's no .midis for the game online yet and it's nice to share...

*will now frolic through this forum since a lot of the recent topics involve hacked pokemon games~*

sseq2midi is for sseq format and not SMD SWD SED SDL and any other format. (w = wave, and not referring to midi, smd is midi but is a special format)

Sorry for boring you. So are you saying that it's impossible to do at this moment in time? Because while it's good knowing that .swds and .smds really are sounds files, I just want to know how to convert them =/ . A nice warm welcome to the forums though, thanks.

yet no referral to the actual sound thread. http://gbatemp.net/t...rmats-of-the-ds
Though I am afraid it won't be that much help.

check out the vgmtrans/vgmtoolbox just in case there was an update I missed.

nevermind vgmtrans

Thanks for the help :D . I think in the end i'm going to rip an midi from the mp3...the converter i have doesn't sort intruments though, so it's a pain... (i use newtone in fl studio to do this...it's meant for voices XD ). I'll wait until someone figures out .swd files to edit the whole ost, though > _> . I might lurk a while on these forums anyways...it's interesting learning about the interior of these game systems :D .
