So I bought an unofficial wiimote plus and it doesn't seem to work on dolphin emulator. My official Wiimote plus works but the 1 and 2 buttons don't.

How easy would it be to swap the Bluetooth module from the official Wiimote to the unofficial Wiimote?

Very. Crack it open, swap em round, crack it back together!!

It honestly is that easy. I done it with a red mote and white mote and swapped all the buttons between them. All you want to do is swap your plastic surround housing.

The broadcom chip for Bluetooth is welded to the wiimote motherboard as you can see here https://wiibrew.org/wiki/Wiimote (unlike the wifi/bluetooth chip from the 3ds which is easily switchable iirc). There must be some ways to replace it as I found replacement Bluetooth chip for Wiimotes online but I do not know for sure how to do it. To swap an original one to another Wiimote might be nearly impossible as you'll have to unweld the chip from the motherboard.

It might be easier to repair your (1) | (2) button at this point.
What's the matter with them ?
