Hardware Swapping parts from V2 into V1

I have both a V1 switch and a brand new V2. I play the V1 and don't have any interest in using the v2. Can I take the battery out of the V2 and put it in the V1? Also what about the fan and other parts?

Battery is the same in both versions

The differences between the two versions pretty much stem from the fact that the newer one uses the mariko chip and the older one doesn't.

I'm hoping to find someone with experience taking parts out of v2 switches and putting them into the original v1. I'd love to take my v1 motherboard and use everything from the new v2 but don't want to take it apart to see what fits. Hopefully someone has experience and can link me to a video or tutorial.

You ain't going to get a battery life improvement with V1 motherboard swap on to a V2 battery, it has to do with the CPU on V2 motherboard.

Swapping a brand new battery will absolutely improve battery life. It is a brand new battery on its first cycle vs. and old one at the end of its life ...

I want good parts on an older switch like a new fan. Thank you for helping me lose faith in this forum

Fan from V2 unit ain't going to be any better than V1 fan, beside if you put a V2 battery in a version 1 you only get the amount battery life V1 suppose to get, may as well just use the V2 unit then.

I think it would be wasteful to remove a battery from a working switch (assuming it actually works). I would rather buy a good replacement one from a trusted reseller like ifixit ( https://it.ifixit.com/Store/Game-Console/Nintendo-Switch-Console-Replacement-Battery/IF378-011?o=3 ) .

That aside, batteries are completely exchangeable between V1 and V2, but charge cycles aside you won't see an improvement: the battery capacity hasn't changed.

v2 switch is better, just use that.

Every part except the board in the newer systems are identical to the parts used in older systems produced in 2018/2019.

Wow, don’t understand why anyone would need to tell this guy that swapping parts won’t matter. A new fan won’t change anything if the original fan is is great shape but mechanical wear is a real thing. Same thing goes for the battery, an original Switch battery with hundreds of cycles is not going to reach it’s designed capacity anymore due to chemical and heat degradation so a new battery can and will improve battery life.

I notice sellers on Ali express list the game reader different on v1 and V2 but I have no idea if there different?

They most definitely are different and not interchangable.
