1080p replacement display for Switch?

Can be for any model [V1, V2, Lite, OLED], as long as it's 1080p.

I'm trying to play a few [pixel art] games which the developers had the extremely bright idea of making in 270p, as a result of which they look horrible on the stock screen. I don't want to play these docked.

Only ones I've heard of are from Retro Remake but they're out of stock.

Right, but if the source material is in such a low resolution, then upscaling it will probably just make all the imperfections more obvious. Similar to how a Game Boy game would look if you emulated it on your PC in full-screen. Unless you have some kind of AI or smart scaling tech, it would probably just look blurry.

The game just has 270p internally, which gets integer scaled to 1080p or poorly bastardized to 720p depending on what you're outputting to.

This is why it looks "perfect" in docked mode even if I force "handheld" res with ReverseNX, as there is only one output res - 270p. Which is why it should also look great on a 1080p replacement display.

First of all you must ask OS to set 1080p as output resolution for handheld, otherwise - no matter what game will output - final image will be still 720p. Super5 OLED panel is 1080p, but its controller upscales from 720p and can't run in 1080p mode .

That's easy enough with ReverseNX but is unlikely to make a difference if other games are anything to go by. For example, a 360p pixel art game looks exactly the same when I switch between handheld modes in ReverseNX-RT, suggesting that the base image stays the same.

I don't see how this would be any different for a 1080p handheld display if even docked mode looks the same.
Only thing exist is the super 5 oled screen mod
I'd grab it but it's out of stock and I doubt they're going to make more.
270p x 9 = 720p
270p x 16 = 1080p

No? 270p is 480x270 whereas 720p is 1280x720. 1280 is not an integral multiple of 480, nor 720 of 270.

ReverseNX is not interacting with OS at all when it comes to the job it's doing. So you are wrong.

Exactly. Because 720p is the final image in handheld, and it cannot be changed by display controller if you will try put 1080p panel.
 
OS output doesn't matter here as, well, it has nothing to do with the output "container" to screen, only the base game output.
You are so sure about stuff that you don't understand that it's baffling :rofl2:

I will simplify this for you:

Game renders something to framebuffer -> it goes to application image layer -> it goes to system image layer -> it is handled by gpu driver (aka NV service) -> it goes to your display

gpu driver outputs ALWAYS 720p in handheld, it doesn't look at what game resolution is or your internal display resolution is.
