Anyone here use supplementary devices with their Steam Deck to keep it from having to handle so much whilst gaming? I'm talking about things like upscalers, converters, ect. In my case I use the following...
- M Cable for upscaling from 720 to 1080p (I plan to upgrade this to a M-Classic)
- 2D to 3D converter box for the moments where I want to play my games in 3D
- External Scanline Generator (Currently on the way and got it mostly for VWii emulators but I can see myself also using it with 2D games on Deck)
- Old Smartphone attached to controler (For Discord and Steam Chat)
When I'm playing with my Steam Deck I want it to focus solely on gaming, Ironically, I believe this was the same mindset behind Nintendo and their Switch Online app. Not killing system resources for chatting and offloading the additional work to the player's phone.
