what compatabilty issues ? only POR gives trouble on sd/minisd..otherwise with a fast mem card even that runs fine on sc-cf, sc-lite and sc-rumble. also diddy kong euro version will not patch.. can't think of anything else

which game is it you can't play ?

anyway this cheat system for ds games is really welcomed by me, i haven't read the whole thread and i hope it will be the same as the sc1 system, being able to turn on/off cheats during gameplay.

was there a semi-multitasking feature where you can view a faq while playing a gba game ? do they currently have that for nds ?

This is good news everybody!
Well, actually, I could care less, but I do have a sc lite.

The thing is, I'm guessing you'd have to patch the games with the option enabled. Played a gba game w/ the built in cheat system, wasn't impressed. Gliched quite often. Hopefully this will be different.

Better keep updating the SLot-2 Firmware to get a 100% working list, we would be more happy then a cheat system

I agree too, I'd rather have more game compatibility and less problems with the speed of memory cards than a cheat system at the moment.

I can only assume they are coming to realise the work invloved getting new roms compatible with SLOT 2 cards when using teh patching system.

I hope they are able to code SLOT 2's to use clean roms, that way they wont need to update the software/firmware when new games dont work.

I'll get the latest patching software, but I don't care about cheats. I'd rather have some of the GBA games fixed instead.

I may just skip updating the firmware. Don't want to risk a bunch of my already patched games/vids going non-working. I really don't want to have to repatch nearly 200 GBA games just for cheats.

Good point, SC somehow tends to "break" stuff with firmware updates without warning.

sc haven't changed gba support in about eleventy million updates ... what makes you think they are going to touch it now ??? an eleventy billionth sense perhaps??

if you only play gba on your SC then 1stly.. commiserations and 2ndly heres some advice, go but another flasth cart, even the single celled bacteria that feeds on the vicars wife's pet ferret anus ring knows gba is bad on SC... but fear not gba support is still exactly the same.. i gaurantee you this, having used this new firmware extensively over the last few days.

as for the update for normal SC usrers (99% DS side) .... word up SC, this update is simply awesome... loving the no-slowdown real time cheats... other flashcarts can only dream of such a system.. R4 is/was good but now it's not even in the same league SC-slot2 flashcarts.
