I bought mine from real hot stuff as well I'm sending it back today I ordered a gbatemp LE from 0sz I hope that one isn't DOA as well.

If you're using a DSi or DSi XL, you have to flash the firmware on the card on a DS or DS Lite, or do as they describe on their site. If that doesn't work, sorry.

you're making it more than it really is
3 people does not = defective..if this was the case than all those gbatemp edition would have the same problems
more than likely it's human error
press down on the micro SD to make sure it has good contact with the cart

and where did you get this v2 stuff? last I check the dstwo hasn't changed in design or materials.

While that's true for other carts like the AK2i, it's not true for the DSTwo, which can flash itself even if the DS unit is only giving it power and refusing to actually boot the "game" data.

That said if this was the issue the cart would not load at all.
