It looks to me like this might be like some sort of Super Mario Hearthfire or something. The town has an actual theme, like a Spanish/Mexican Dios los Muertos sorta vibe. SM3D* had more generic worlds that seemed to focus on color-swapped textures. I don't think the entire game is going to have a Day of the Dead vibe, so that hints that this town may be one of many, all with their own styles. The first image does seem to hint that there may be an area to explore to the left.

I have given up hope of a new mario 64 game long ago. This game will most likely be a technical demo the same way zelda was for the gcn and then again on the wii u.

There is nothing to suggest that what we have seen of this game is an open world game. The triple jump??? Who cares? They can easily use that in a 2.5D mario. The third person camera perspective??? You'd be surprised how often the camera gets in that position during 3D world. Doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

mario is one/only of the firsts games industry who give people so much hype , and we are in 2016.

questions : there is a shop/building where we can take i guess a "crazy cap".
so my question guys is :

- what mario can do with a cap who has a perhaps super power ?
-can he fly !
-hypnotise the pnj's/enemies !
-she can speak to him ,to give him tips !

-the purple CRAZY CAP has eyes , why ?
so what are the "power's up" on all mario games who have EYES (bullet bill...)

i like to have your constructive opinion please.

There's no way Zelda won't be a launch title, given that they practically pushed it back so far just to release it for both WiiU and Switch, like they did with Twilight Princess. But if Mario was a second launch title I am so done. Buying that shit asap

Never underestimate the power of failure from the Big N!

Jokes aside, it's actually possible they madeit so early on but kept it under the wraps to not scare customers by a delay without a 'good enough' explanation. Having the NS out there is a good excuse to delay it, to make it versions for both consoles, while not getting limited by just the Wii U's perforrmance causing us all to get a lesser experience compared to the NS' (hopefully). So I can see Zelda BotW being a launch title for sure Would make sense, comparing it to Twilight Princess.

Mario might be something different. As from what I've read, the announcement got delayed as they couldn't make Mario's footage working like it should've been. So indicating the game isn't finished, 4 months is way too short to develop a proper 3D Mario game, at Nintendo's quality standards.

Actually BotW was never announced as a launch title.

Nintendo simply said that NX would release in March 2017 and that Zelda would release simultaneously on both systems. They never said Zelda would come out in March 2017, they've still got the vague '2017' release window.

Most likely not, because everyone would probably be buying the Wii U version more than the Switch version.

Maybe it's a sequel to all the series and have elements from all of them? I'd love to revisit the gravity and water physics, even if it's not the whole game.
