Are you hyped for Super Mario Odyssey for the Nintendo Switch?

Then you've come to the right place, cuz I am also very much hyped for it!

Unfortunately, these are the only screenshots we have for the game, although the two environments shown look really impressive so far.

UPDATED 11-05-2016: Some leaks from Emily Rogers on Twitter surfaced about the game.
Summary :
- The game could be almost complete, ready for the console launch, essentially making this Mario game a launch title.
- There may not be a HUB world.
- The game focuses a lot more about exploration than 3D World or Galaxy did.

GET HYPED.

(this post will be updated every time I find new info on this game, so be sure to check often!)

I think it's going to run on a similar engine to 64/Sunshine/Galaxy. 2 things tell me this:

-The camera
-The addition of a triple jump(neither 3DL nor 3DW have this)

To go off topic a bit, the 2D-3D engine seen in 3DL and 3DW doesn't need triple jumps, due to just how utterly broken walljumps are in that game.

So, in it's current state this game will most likely have a physics engine similar to past 3D Mario games, while retaining the lighting engine from the Super Mario 3D Series (Super mario 3D World).

The way I see it, this is most likely a new entry in the 3D World/Land series, or Super Mario Galaxy 3 (which is what I'm hoping for). But it's anyone's guess at this point.

The few pictures we have don't look very SMG-y, at least not to me anyways.
I'd agree with you there. I think that it probably is another entry in the Super Mario 3D World/Land series, but only time will tell.

(You know what would be even better, though? An entirely new Mario series! Here's hoping for that.)

Keep in mind, in the video, the girl playing the 3D Mario game brings it over to her friends' rooftop party where she and one of her friends pick up a Joy-Con controller and both start playing. Point being, the implication is that this Mario game is multiplayer. As such, I'm inclined to think that this may be more in line with Super Mario 3D World. I'd love another 64/Galaxy game personally, but I've got a feeling this is not one of those kind of games, but we'll see.
