You make it sound like we can enter eshop not being spoofed. You either update you wiiu normally to FW5.5.0 to enter eshop and destroy the exploit or spoof it to FW5.5.0 and wait for an update, there are no more options! I'm sure the eshop issue will get cracked soon!

It's quite simple, if it is free it will be an update, otherwise DLC.
As the Super Mario Maker stage costs money it will be DLC.

Wait for an eShop spoofer. A custom IOSU (the Wii U's firmware) wouldn't be useful in that sense.
