There is no way to get mew in the gen vc 1 without using the mew glitch, so it makes sense

There was that VC Mew distribution in Japan I think, that is the only way to get a Gen 1 Mew through. Missingno, of course, can't go through.

There was one in uk to so if you name your guy gamefreak in caps i think and keep making a new game untill you get the right id it will transfer

Apparently you need CFW. I'm on 11.0 and I have no choice, but to install Soundhax.

There's an event in uk to so its possible to get one though i think you can glitch the game to change your trainer id and name with 8f you would need to change the name to GF and id:22796. Then do the mew glitch.

Over on r/3dshacks there was a tutorial about that method and it apparently works. I'm curious about the legends with HAs. Static Zapdos, Unnerve Mewtwo, it seems only Mew, Gengar, and Weezing are exceptions, obviously because they don't have hidden abilities to begin with.

How do you change your id and name with 8f though

I don't know what 8f is, I was referring to PKHex, it supports the .dat file JKSV exports from those games.
