So, this summer I haven't been working as much as I did last summer. I'm liking it so far. I usually work 3 days a week, and just hang out with friends, play games, read and other fun things like that.

So since I have a lot of time off, and I can't hang out with friends everyday, and I want to save money, I've decided to not buy a new game until November. I'm going to play all of the games I own, but never completed. The list is LONG.

PS3 Games:

Batman Arkham Asylum [x]
Uncharted 2 Among Thieves [x]
Uncharted Drake's Fortune [ ]
Final Fantasy VIII [ ]
Final Fantasy XIII [ ]
Borderlands [ ]
Sly Cooper Collection [ ]
God of War Collection [ ]
God of War III [ ]
MAG (can't really beat this one, but I wanna get into it)

Xbox 360 Games:

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood [ ]
Brink [ ]
Forza Motorsport 3 [ ]
Crackdown [ ]
Crackdown 2 [x]

3DS Games:

Lego Star Wars III [ ]
Samurai Warriors Chronicles [ ]
Ghost Recon Shadow Wars [ ]
Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D [ ]
Zelda Masterquest 3D [ ]
Super Monkey Ball 3D [ ]
PilotWings Resort [ ]
Ridge Racer 3D [ ]

So I started doing this a while ago, Uncharted 2, Crackdown 2 and Batman are the only ones I've beaten so far. I've been jumping to and from games, but now I'm gonna stay consistent on one game. Right now it's FFXIII.

I also have a ton of books I wanna read, but I don't know if I'll be able to get to them

Final Fantasy VIII? Ew... I'd skip that and just stick to VII or IX if you wanted some Final Fantasy around the same era.

I really suggest getting a friend or three for Borderlands. It's definitely more fun with friends. Also fun for multiple playthroughs.

MAG I've heard is quite disappointing although my knowledge of it is pretty skimp. I don't know if the online community is still there either.

You can honestly skip Brink. I tried playing it at a friend's house and it was just so boring and mundane. You might as well play Team Fortress 2.

I don't know why you'd waste time on Pilotwings Resort or Super Monkey Ball 3D.

Only games I myself have had to play this summer are Dragon Age II and Dragon Age Origins. I'll be getting 007 Blood Stone and Goldeneye (although I already played Goldeneye) sometime this week though.

Super Monkey Ball 3D can be completed in an hour.

If you want real challenge, play the Gamecube version.

Edit: FFXIII: enjoy corridors, corridors, corridors, open area-NOPE and more corridors. Also the 30 hour tutorial.
I actually love FFXIII

MAG is alright. It's not the best, but it's somewhat fun.

I actually love Brink. A couple friends and I play it.

I like PilotWings. Monkey Ball sucks, but I spent money on it, so I'll just beat it anyway. Despite how painful it'll be.

Are you gonna get Goldeneye Reloaded, or whatever it's called?

Eh, I'm not quite sure. It probably won't fetch a good online community (which is kinda irrelevant as I don't use Xbox Live Gold anymore) but I'll try to get my friends to get into it. Hopefully it'll get to be a good local multiplayer game for parties, although I could just use the Wii version for that...

I'm working my way through my PS2 backlog for the next few weeks until Starfox 64 3DS hits, as I've actually downloaded them but not played most of them yet. I've got like, 20 of them, sitting there not being used. I finished Resident Evil 4, but that's about it. Still got the rest of my collection to finish off. So once my last download finished, Soul Calibur 3, I'm burning my last few disks and then I'll HAVE to stop downloading stuff 'cause I'll be out of blank DVDs.

I know the feeling, it's SO linear for SO long, but I still love it. Even when you get to "that part" in Disk 3 it slips into linearity from time to time.

8 >>>>>>> 7.

7 sucks shit, has terrible characters, and is incredibly boring. The materia system is better then the magic binding system though, by far.
8 has an odd story, interesting characters, and some pretty sweet stuff happening throughout the game. No Final Fantasy game has a good story, but 8 at least has the coolest and most entertaining.

Then 9. Oh my god. That's probably the worst FF i've ever played. Zidane has to be the worst character i've ever seen in a videogame. The only likable character is Vivi, and he's still really typical. The combat system is absolute shit compared to any other FF. What the god damn hell is Trance and why does it exist. Worst idea ever. I'd take FF1's combat over FF9's.

How much of FF9 did you play?
It gets so much better at the second disc.

Easily my best FF*
edit: *subject to change once FFXIII-2 is released

Oh, how the slightest mention of Final Fantasy turns the topic into a rage fest.

Good luck! I'm working on Vanquish for the PS3 right now.

I was around 70% of the way through the game and I just said "Fuck it" and quit to play something that had recently released that I also wanted to play. Neeever really got better for me.
