I'm wondering what are some good scripted TV shows to watch.

I realize that this is subjective, but here are some that I have already tried:

Watching/Completed
The Shield
Dexter
Weeds
Burn Notice
The Office (UK)

Sliding interest
Lost (dragging on and too many filler episodes)
Heroes (plot line changes every two episodes and lacks a consistent direction/character development)

Tried but didn't like (cheesy or not my taste)
Dr. Who
Torchwood
Dead Like Me
24 (after season 2, gave up)

The Office is a great show.
If you are considering a comedy show, I definitely recommend it.

I've watched the British version, guessing you are talking about the US "The Office" show. I'll check it out. Thanks and keep the suggestions coming.

Try watching Pushing Daisies, even though they stopped doing episodes, I still recommend to watch.

And try watching the early episodes of House. (The latest ones are really mucked up and dead) .
Yeh, my suggestions.

No they aren't :/ House is still a great show though.

I think Ill just list some shows I like:
The Office (US) I LOVE THIS SHOW!
My Name is Earl
the Boondocks (only if your into hip hop though; which i doubt)
Robot Chicken
Aqua Team Hunger Force
Family Guy
American Dad (if you like family guy but hate all the meaningless jokes)

Kenny Vs. Spenny - one of my favourites, and all the episodes can be found online.

That show is horrible. Its just one giant (and bad) gay/fart joke.

If you can't lower yourself to enjoy the fundamentals, then I'd be ashamed to call you human.

This season I only watched Californication and True Blood, both were soso, but not bad. Stopped watching Heroes after it became clear in episode two of season three that they'll never manage to bring this clusterfuck of a show back to season one levels.

Heard good things about Sons of Anarchy and Generation Kill (a mini series by the makers of "the wire"), but didn't have time to watch them yet.

I wouldn't recommend Futurama, Bender's Game (the DVD from this year), here's what I wrote about it on another board:

*Highly* disappointing. Nothing even remotely funny in this "episode". Just a bunch of random, bad, jokes slapped together by a more than thin story. Futurama usually has great pop culture references, this time they were reduced to lame movie spoofs and a few D&D citations. I have no idea if this worked split to single episodes, as a whole movie it was really annoying. It looked great in HD, though.
