Thanks for a great guide.

Successfully modded a brand new 4.2E wii following these instructions. All good except the Priiloader instrcution shich were a bit confusing (the B and + thingy).

Now a couple of questions:

1. I want to install WiiMC + Channel; Do I need IOS58 (or is it already there with hbc 1.0.8)?
2. What is the best Wad manager? YAWMM?
3. Is it safe to install USB loader GX and the forwarder (using the official install package)?


Again - well done to everyone involved. The modding was scary but easy....

(BTW - I DID brick a 3.2U using this guide....turn out to be a Korean wii turned into 3.2U - got the Error003 message from hell...maybe a warning on this would be good!!)

as to the korean wii, ther are mentions all over BOTH guides at the top that scream about region changed korean wiis. so you must have missed it then.

a piece of advice: if you have any moe of these simple one word answer questions, please post in the thread for whatever program you are talking about. if it is usb gx, goto backup launchers and post in the usb gx topic. most often the devs read questions in their own thread instead of wii hacking when someone opens their own thread. It will get you answers better and quicker, and save my sanity

Assuming the guide (which ever you used) installed a patched ios70, or at least a patched ios36, your 003 error is easily fixable.

Check out Xflaks little NUASD tool. It can help you to fix 003.
