Hi guys, I have a Nintendo switch stuck on joycon screen:

By inserting the joycons nothing happen.
On the 2 ICs behind the joycons connector, and on another one, I found these shorts to ground that should not be there:

These are some info and what I tried:
  • Joycon rails are fine
  • Joycon connectors seem fine
  • Removed all three ICs, short still there
  • Removed M92, short still there
I could not find where these ICs are connected. Any ideas? Thanks!

Last edited by Krost,
Capacitors and filters can also cause a short.
I see those repair guys always check the capacitor for shorts.
Those thingies with 4 pins are filters (2 filters in 1 package).

Did you get any results on this friend? I have a joycon on the right side that does not detect it plugged into the switch.

Yes, I fixed it. In my case, it was this shorted diode (or cap, don't remember) located between the LCD and Fan connectors:

In some boards it's not even present. So maybe check also all the components in the previous post.
Good luck!

Wow... I'm surprised you fixed it. Your screen's ribbon cable looks tore up. What the heck are you doing to it?
