Hacking Stuck on IOS58?

I'm new here, so please go easy on me

I recently successfully installed the home brew channel using letter bomb. Whenever I try to change my OS to be able to play games off USB loader GX, it stays stuck on iOS 58.
It'll read that it switched the iOS in MMM (I have the latest version)
But when you open home brew it'll stay as iOS 58.

How can I play games off USB loader GX? What iOS do I need?

What iOS supports USB loader GX and most emulators?

How did you patched the IOS?
USB Loader GX requires IOS 249 or 250 IIRC
