Gaming Stuck on Chrono Trigger Help please

'I am at The End Of Time and I can't leave until I talk to Spekkio the big blue dude that the old man tells you to go into before you can leave. I talk to him and he tells me:

"No Cheatin I've got my eye on you

Do it over! From the door, clockwise along the wall, three times"

I have ran across the wall three times clockwise and nothing.

I have tried walking - Nope
I have tried counterclockwise (the other way around) - nope
I have tried more than 3 times both ways (running and walking) - nope
I have tried running around him (both ways running and walking) - nope
I have left the room and came back and tried - nope

What am I suppose to do he wont acknowledge that I have done it. Am I doing anything wrong?

Any help please?
