if they made it namco x capcom, everyone would just bitch about their fav char missing, at least with this, they might actually be able to get everyone in (though they wont, but we will be less displeased)

also, if i ever get a 360, id rather have tekken x streen fighter, if this uses the weird SF4 engine and graphics

...if they actually made this in 2d, like alpha 3... that'd be cool and kinda new, but this? it will have all the killer attacks but will look sucky

OK, This is even more jaw-dropping than the fact MvC3 is coming to PC.
If they are forced to put most of the SSF4 roster in to balance against Tekken...

Namco and capcom have made a crossover RPG before. NamcoXCapcom. so it was only a matter of time before they crossed over their fighters. but this needs to be done in the SNK vs Capcom was done. namco makes a fighter using the tekken fighting engine and capcom make a fighter using the street fighter fighting engine. it would be pure awsomeness.

Also, the gameplay footage...it just looks like SF4 with a Tekken character that plays in a SF style.
It'll probably be the same with TxSF with SF characters playing like Tekken characters.

Kind of disappointing really.

Because they are both huge franchises with fans on either or both of their sides and they will sell millions of copies?

I never liked Tekken because of the engine but now that Tekken is combined with Street Fighter in one game, I wouldn't mind playing at all if it was using Street Fighter engine.

Then choose Tekken X Street Fighter, because that's based on the Tekken engine, and Street Fighter X Tekken is based on the Street Fighter engine.

MY guess is that SF vs Tekken will be SF4 2D in 3D style while Tekken VS SF will be 3D style.
Makes me wonder how they'll mix the moves. I personally never liked the button chain combo style of Tekken as opposed to SF's free combo and d-pad motion special move style.
Perhaps they will be changed to either style for either game.

My bet is that the Tekken VS SF version will feel at least a little like SF:EX.
With SF fans leaning toward the first and I guess as they hope, Tekken fans will lean to the other.

It has been a good while since the SF VS games, and Capcom VS games have been selling well, so I think its a wise choice to focus toward just the two series together.

Would love to see the Namco X Capcom games make it state side though, maybe they'll release those as downloadable games or in a pack if everything looks good. Somehow I doubt it though.

Should be interesting, looking forward to it.
