Gaming Street Figher IV Controls

I find when i use the thumbstick I always jump when i try to do a half-circle attack - it reads my up swing as a jump ... really annoying.

the D-Pad is much more accurate, but i run out of stamina (my thumb, not in game) fast, and i can't spam moves too much, but i'm much more accurate.

any advice on using the thumbstick, and avoiding jumping all the time?

What's your preference?

What's your preference?

Same. It messes up some combos im trying to do.

But Im used to the Cpad. Using the Dpad makes me take longer to do some moves.
