Alright, I've been using my G700 mouse on my table for a long time now without much of a problem. But now, the cursor just kinda... lags? skips? doesn't detect? I don't know what to call it, but hopefully you get the idea.

Now see, the problem isn't there on another surface or anywhere else on the table. The problem is THAT specific part on the table. The solution is just move elsewhere, but I want to know why that part of my table is giving me problems. Can using a mouse continuously on a single part on a surface do something?

It could be that that specific part of the table has become so worn down that the laser can't track over it. The solution would be to get a new surface, like a mouse mat.

Yeah, you need a mouse pad.

That could wear the book down, unless it's glossy/laminated in which case it's not ideal for lasers.

Now the odder thing. Now the rest of the table's being unresponsive.

Then I left for a while cause my dog came into the room. And now, the table's working perfectly, with the most used spot now working normally.
