I have switch here, which draws 0amps when turned off with the supplied Battery dead.
if I insert a working battery the console boots fine, and the console chargers normally.1.48 amps or something.
if I charge the dead battery with another switch it will charge the battery.( I don't want to charge the battery like this as I believe it will mask the fault untill it becomes depleted again.
I haven't changed m92 or anything yet, but I'm thinking there might be a problem with another IC.
fuel gauge?
also worth noting the right joycon doesn't make the snap animation but works fine? so I'm thinking it might be something to do with the powerrails?
Any help would be appreciated on this, as once I start this repair, I feel I will get in over my head.
cheers in advance
just to add, that with the switch in a powered off state if I connect a working battery and plug in the charger.
I don't get the usual 0.43 amps but the boot sequence is happening, and once the switch turns itself on then I get the normal 1.46 charge.
it's like it has a problem charging a battery in a powered off state.
think I'm going to look around bq fuel and m92
