I really dont see how you can call the cyclowiz plain crappy. Its the better chip of the 2. Im obviously not going to win this argument because everyone seems to love the wiikey but i think its unfair to say the cyclowiz is a poor product because at the end of the day, i feel the cyclowiz is currently the better chip of the 2.

the wiikeys a good product if you want to play wii games. Its shit otherwise. Don't forget the cyclowiz was an early chip and still beats the wiikey who had much longer to design thier chips.

I agree about dvd playback, Everyone should have a dvd player anyways

I've never had a problem with a Gamecube game, and I've tried a handful.

However I make multi-discs... why would anyone not? Unless they're lazy or just like to be wasteful!

Too bad you can't update the thing without doing a large bit of extra modification... it's too bad that they failed to mention that in the beginning while people were already purchasing their chips.

Oh and my buddy who bought the Cyclowiz agrees with me that the WiiKey is a better chip. Hell, he gave up and ended up buying my spare one.

GBATemp does cover all consoles. Not many people were interested in the gamecube

I think jaxxter refers to the audio stream bug of the Wiikey in GC games. The thing is that makemulti V3 fixes this issue and that most users use it to make multigame discs so that this bug is not noticed.

We have received a lot of questions on the coming update lately.

The upgrade is now near completion. It has been delayed due to a few factors; the base system disc took longer than expected to complete, and there have been a few unexpected issues that are currently being worked on.


Making the update incompatible with clones is NOT one of those issues, though. We would also like to clarify that we do not intend to brick or render clones inoperable.

You dont think that wiifree will get an update that allows PAL users to play trauma centre? If wiikey manage it then it will only be a week before the other chips can play it.
