I don't have the original IOS36 -if it exist-

Wiipower say its necessary for dual layers games, maybe that's because can't launch my Brawl original copy.

The original IOS36 should be able to access dual layer games, doesn't it? What i say is: the rev7 dip can't access dual layer discs. WiiGator had the choice, rebooter or dual layer support...

I don't know, I installed IOS36 rev6 and I can't boot up the game, I'm not an expert for that matter, I even didn't know if exist a Nintendo's IOS36 -.-U

The Gamma is "WiiGator's cIOS36 rev7", what means: It's the cIOS from WiiGator, it's based on IOS36 from nintendo and it's the 7th revision of the cIOS. Well the stuff about revison is a little complicated, as Waninkoko started it with a cIOS37 if i remember correctly. All you have to know is: It's based on IOS36 and the version number of the backup dip is 7. (Even if that's not correct...)

If you can't launch the game at all, there's something else wrong.

brawl still loads up with the beta version of the loader using ciosrev7 just it doesnt load in gamma, easy way is to test it in the beta version

also the layer break needs to be set at 2084960 or it wont read properly also

Well since it's based on Nintendo's own 36, this cIOS overwritte the 36 right? I think that was my problem I installed it direct with wadManager instead using the cIOS installer.

The Gamma cIOS is based on IOS36, but it's installed as IOS249. The Wii "knows" it as IOS249, nothing is overwritten if you install a cIOS. (another cIOS doesn't count)

Correct but, I check my installed IOS and IOS36 doesn't appear, then I installed cIOS36 but direct from wadmanager instead the cIOS Installer, then I check again and IOS36 appear. That's why I fear that maybe my IOS36 was overwrote by a incorrect custom IOS36, because it wasn't installed as 249

You can test if you have a backup cIOS at IOS36 if you run SoftChip, set it to IOS36 and try to run backups. If it doesn't work, you have an old cIOS or the original IOS. If it works, you surely have a cIOS instead of the original one. The get the original one, you only need to extract it from any newer game and install it with Wad Manager.

IOS36 is necessary for Okami, I still continue on 3.2U, thank god I had the original game.

I guess it must be a fault in my lens, thanks for your responses WiiPower, sorry for all this mess

Doesn't Okami require IOS21? If a game requires IOS36 is very easy to find out: Just make sure you don't have anything installed as IOS36, and start your game from the disc channel. If it works, it uses another IOS than IOS36.

No, Okami installed IOS36, it wasn't previosly installed, at least in NTSC. Not sure if it installed 21 too.

If it installs a IOS doen't matter, important is which IOS is specified in the tmd. And i think it's IOS21 for Okami, NFS Underground installs 3 IOS, but uses only 1 of them.
