If BlackAce83 checks his PM's, we should have a new release soon!

NTSC and PAL have only different Hex Values, right? So it wouldn´t be a big deal to change them to PAL...maybe I find someone who could do that...

I'm hoping i got the controller bug freeze fixed this time around,

Also i think in the next version i'll need to remove the region free wii games,
So are there any hacks that currently work on preloader that anyone would like me add to startpatch
any suggestions
Thanks

edit:
Already added for next release
PAL Release
JP Release
Force Wifi Connection failure
Block Online updates
Thanks to whomever originally ported these

StartPatch v4.2.2 has been released for NTSC-U, PAL, and NTSC-J!

== Features Of v4.2.2x ==
  • Disable HAXX, DVDX, RZDx Checks - Disables the System Menu from blocking Homebrew.
  • Block Disc Updates - Blocks updates, which have been embedded in Discs.
  • Region Free Wii Games - Forces your System Menu to play all region games in your Wii's region. (REMOVED: Not functioning correctly, at this time)
  • Block Online Updates - Prevents online updates being installed.
  • Force WiFi Connection Test Error - Forces a WiFi Connection Test Error.
  • Region Free Channels - Allow installation of any region Channels.
  • Region Free GC Games No VM Patch - Removes region restrictions on Gamecube games.
  • Remove NoCopy Protection (Need To Install ALL Five) - Removes the Save File Copy Protection, which prevents Save Files from being copied to SD Cards.
  • Move Disc Channel - Enables the Disc Channel to be moved.
  • No Menu BG Music - Removes the System Menu's background music.
  • Recovery Mode 4th GC DPad UP (Need To Install BOTH) - Allows you to enter the Wii's Recovery Mode easily.
  • Remove Diag Disc Check - Remove Diagnostic Disc check.
  • Auto-Press A At Health Screen - Automatically presses "A" for you at the Health Screen.
  • Replace Health Screen With Black - Instead of seeing the Health Screen, it shows a black screen.
  • Force Disc To Use IOS249 - Forces Discs to use IOS249.
I was unable to contact BlackAce83, so you may, or may not, notice some small typos. These should be corrected shortly, and none, of which, should affect patching.
EDIT: Rewording Completed!

Hi I used dop-ios by marc (none modded) and all worked fine..went online and it updated relevent files..startpatch works fine now. Thanx for the help ;-)

Thanks TiMeBoMb4u2.
I'm going to port the "Block Online Updates" to my preloader hacks.ini!

And I'm not really sure but...
How is the "Force WiFi Connection Test Error" useful?
Whenever a connection test fails (haven't used this hack yet), my wii refuses to use that connection until it can connect to the internet.

Example:
I don't currently have internet at my house, but my Wii is connected to a wireless LAN, and if the connection test fails, it won't let me use that connection.

I suppose it would be useful to keep people from changing your settings...maybe. I dunno. Could be one of those things like the black screen/crashing patches....something that's not entirely useful.

*edit*
Now for Region free from SD (he said hopefully).

But really, nice work. I never thought of a hack for disabling the online updates. What is it's behavior anyway? Does it try to download and just not work?

Ok, thanks to BlackAce83, and to anyone else I have left out.

@BlackAce83
I actually enjoy porting preloader hacks

I'll port them to K region System Menus.

If you can find the correct offsets for the Korean Wiis, BlackAce83 should be able to port it to StartPatch too! Let us know, when you find the original offset values. THANKS!
