I PMed you regarding a small issue as well.
Should be taken care of. I like the green aswell
Hey, BlackAce83... In the most-recent code you sent me, I noticed that in the offsets you sometimes used uppercase X's (X) instead of lowercase X's (x). Will that make a difference?

I wish I knew what was changed in v4.1 of Startpatch to REMOVE the health screen completely. I cannot seem to find the hack anywhere (I thought I saw it a long while back) and of course we do not have that last Startpatch source

I just found this in another thread about Preloader...

You are also missing the Replace Health Screen with Back Menu hack for 4.2U and 4.2J (this is also known as the skip health screen hack). I have done a quick calculation and the codes are as follows:

4.2U

Code:
[Replace Health Screen with Back Menu]
version=481
offset=0x81656FF4
value=0x81409C9C
4.2J

CODE[Replace Health Screen with Back Menu]
version=480
offset=0x816878D4
value=0x81408F88

I have not tested them, so you may want to double check my calculations, but they should work fine!

Will someone fire up USBGecko, to verify these, please?

I think this was the hack that BlackAce83 said made 4.2 lock up on boot. It's probably wrong for 4.2, but I'll wait for him to confirm or deny this.

I think BlackAce83 was referring to this one...

CODE[Force Standard Recovery Mode]
version=481
offset=0x8137ACB4
value=0x48000020

The build he sent me keeps halting before the "warning" screen.

Here's what it looks like, when my screen halts...
CODEES_Identify (as SU)...Done!

ISFS_Initialize...Done!

ISFS_Open...Done!

Getting file size...Preparing To Copy...Copying...Done!

If I can talk BlackAce83 into making a couple more changes, we'll be ready for a v4.2U release!
I'd do it, but for some reason my DOLs don't run!?!

He just PMed pretty much the last update he said he was going to make
smile.gif
He fixed the nohealthscreen issue as well
smile.gif

I think I know why you dol won't run. 1017 error right? You need to have IOS36 with trucha, es_identify and nand permissions patched.

He told me earlier today that if I had Wiimote problems that he would re-add what I needed.
Nope...I'm not getting the 1017 error...actually I'm getting no errors. Either it locks up before the "warning" screen, or my Wiimotes won't work past the "warning" screen.

No GC Cards in, just a GC Controller. Just removed it, and I'm gonna try it again.

Yup, unplug everything and try again. I had the issue last night, but I since unplugged everything and it loads in fine.

I unplugged it, and it ran ONCE. I tried again, and it froze in the same spot.

Are you using the same 10-06-09 file he sent me? That's odd. It works perfectly fine on my end. Do you have IOS70 trucha patched or no? There's no reason it shouldn't work for you. How did you update to v4.2? Was it the Waninkoko update (hope not)?

Yes; I'm using the 10-06-2009 build.
Yes; I updated with Waninkoko's Firmware Updater v4.2.
