Hacking StartPatch-v4.0.4 USA-MOD

Since i needed it, i decided to mess around with the source and try to add the patches of preloader to:
- Remove NoCopy Protection
- Force Disc Region (to enhance regionfree)
- and the Replace Healthwarning with Backmenu (its not the same patch of the original StartPatch)

and finally i made it!!!


so, like i see other people wanting the same thing
is there any other option than preloader for a "Remove NoCopy Protection


I decided to release it, hoping this result useful to someone

when you say USA-MOD you mean only for U NTSC consoles?

So I guess only NTSC-U consoles should use this, right? The OP is from Mexico, so that would make sense.

Seems pretty cool if it works.

Do we remove the old hacks first before installing these ones, or will this detect the old hacks in 4.0.3?

StartPatch never would tell you what hacks were installed, at least not that I could tell.

I'll test it in a moment (I have a NAND backup, so we're all good)

@sunnytimes. the 'no sound' is in the original startpatch, so is also in the MOD version

@TrckyTony. This still has all the old patches in it too

@Kamuix & Hooya. Yes I mean only for U NTSC consoles

@donowprod. this will detect the old hacks in 4.0.3. The only thing to tell if one of the patches is already installed is trying to uninstall it with B button, the program is gonna say "The patch was found. Press A to remove."

@WitoRIT92. Yes, do you still needs to patch ios60. Remember is the same patch of preloader, and in preloader you need the ios60 patched

@rommy667. Maybe, but I've no way to test the app, so if the app doesnt work right the wii's gonna brick. Maybe you can test it?


@everyone. Nobody has tested it yet? I've tested all the patches (except the No BGM Music, but should works if the patch works in the original version), so is safe to install the patches

I used the NoCopyProtection hack. I haven't tried to copy any usually effected saves but it didn't brick my Wii!
