I was running a game, exited the game to the main menu, and turned the PSP off.
When I tried to turn it on, nothing would happen. The green light would just turn on as if it was bricked.
I unplugged the battery, and plugged the power adapter in, then turned the PSP on and it came on as normal.
This same thing has happened to me twice now, with the same path taken to fix the issue both times.

Is there something wrong with the firmware on here? Can the firmware be reinstalled over itself? (5.00 M33-6)

Yes you can reinstall the firmware over itself but it might not be a problem with the fw, does it happen with other games. What game is this anyway?

I found the issue. It was VSH menu acting as a pandora battery or something. IDK. I uninstalled it and it all works fine now.
