For those who don't know, the 3DS doesn't have Bluetooth, so we can't use Bluetooth controllers with it. There are some DS carts with Bluetooth 2.1, including an open-design cart, but understandably there's not much interest from the 3DS community these days as there's a cost involved and it takes up the cartridge slot. Pokemon Typing Adventure for the DS also has Bluetooth, but there's no API to access it from the system firmware. The interface is entirely on the game cart.

All of that aside, there are controllers on the market now that use Wi-Fi. Google's Stadia controller and Amazon's Luna controller are two examples. Since the 3DS has Wi-Fi and already has an open input interface, I was wondering if anyone has looked at adding support for direct connection and use of a Wi-Fi controller.
