Only a few days to wait now...

I'm looking forward to the US release so we europeans can do all this WiiUpdaterBlock thingy and play this game!

As I am. With this release, I no longer need to wait for the European version, but I have waited too long to benefit from getting the Japanese one.

Cool

Haven't tried this though, still waiting for the US version.

But one question that I would like to ask; on which speed should I burn the DL?
Should I just do the 'standard 6X Speed'?

Or perhaps faster/slower? Been reading about users trying a lot of different speeds with a lot of mixed results, so just want to get this clear

I burnt the JAP version of SSBB @ 4x the first time, and I got a ton of disc read errors. I was using Verbatim DVD+R DL discs that are rated @ 2.4x, but said they could be burnt up to 6x with compatible burners.

I have a Pioneer 110D so I thought it would be OK but I guess not.

Since then I have burnt another 2 copies and both @ 2.4x, and they both work flawlessly. I wouldn't try to high a burn speed just in case, but if you plan on burning @ 2.4x be prepared to wait for 45 mins

Heey, thanks for you reply

Yea, was thinking that it's probably best to burn at lower speeds for DL's.
Should I set the Read Speed to 3X as well in the WiiKey Configuration? Or just leave it at 6X?

Just a little longer for Brawl

Just got my copy of US Brawl and it does not work with Wiikey.

Does anyone know of a fix without having to make a backup and play it.

Install a switch to turn your wiikey on/off.

I was hoping to not have to open my wii again.

Based on the following picture, witch number corresponds to the power?

I know I'm lazy, but I'm tired after waiting on line for 4 hours waiting to pick up my copy of Brawl.

BTW, I did the wired install, so this will a simple matter to fix.

I have the NTSC version of SSBB (DVD9) and I would like to play it on my PAL wii.

Will this fix work? Do I need a different .inf file?

Has anyone tried this yet?

Thanks

The fix does work yes, I did it and it works fine.
My media is balls though.
Thanks, will try it, in 1 day and 10 hours!

I assume this .inf file wasn't intended for the NTSC version, but seems to work anyway!

Please, if anyone knows of issues with this .inf file, let us know!

Could I use this method and then use my original super smash bros that I bought from teh store to play it? It currently locks up on me when I try to update

@joshysquashy I suggest you patch the original update.inf form the US version with my patcher just to be sure or wait till somebody confirms that the old inf still works or posts a new .inf.

The old file worked fine for me.

People have been saying to use the new brickblocker (1.3r2) with dual-layer support. Does that work in effectively stopping the update and still allowing the game to run? Anyone tested it?

Hey guys, I know that it will sound "replayed" but I read a lot of the thread and still have a doubt. I have a DL DVD, NTSC Wii and a fake wiikey that don't update for the last firmware. Super Mario Galaxy doesn't run on my system, what should I do to make SSBB run without bricking my Wii and don't get the same error from SMG?!

Thanks in advanced and sorry for the dumbness...

Will bailli patch do the work for NTSC Wii? I mean, will it overpass the checking for pirated systems?!
