After several hours of work, the DL ripper has been perfected. Kudos to Nekokabu for helping the team fix some of the issues. If you are interested in downloading the dumper, here is the link. hhttp://www.ozmodchipsfaq.com/dumper004.rar

This means we should see a dump of SSBB online in a couple of hours.

I'm not buying a DL burner just for this game of course. I'll just wait and see if Nintendo will release more games on DL discs.

The Wiikey Team have confirmed to WiiNewz that they are in the process of obtaining a Japanese original of the game so that their coder can begin working on a compatibility fix and dump app.

It has come to our attention that some people on IRC claim to have had some success in dumping the game and that they are in contact with the Wiikey Team. We cannot dispute their claims of dumping the game but we can 100% assure you that no such contact with Wiikey has been made, nor is there likely to be any. Please take any claims from these individuals with a grain of salt.

Regardless, work will begin soon on a Wiikey update to correct these issues. With the Wiikey website now closed, WiiNewz will be the official source for news regarding the chip. If you don't read it here first, it's not true... simple as that.

correct me if im wrong,i heard the wiikey has dl support, but not for original discs, only backups. theoretic a backup of SSBB work without any problems?
they added dual layer support in v. 1.9b....

Joy! My WiiKey is in transit, going out to grab DL discs tonight. Heres a slightly off topic question, but would DL discs work for regular games as well? Or will I need to snag some standard dvd-r's for those?

with this app u can dump games like brawl

It's a dumper. It dumps Wii games to make an iso file.

Unless you have an original SSBB disc, you will not be using this program.

But be happy it's out, cause now somebody else can do the above for you.

Just to let you guys updated, the game has been dumped, and is currently being uploaded on the alt.binaries.games.wii newsgroup.

EDIT: My bad, it is being uploaded on a private ftp server, not on usenet. It'll take a couple of hours for the ISO to branch off after that.
