I don't know if you are aware, but they also have memory problems.

The original JP release nearly hit the 4 gb (I believe) limit.

Now add 4 more languages. Add to that modified graphics for each version.

If it wasn't a memory problem, it sure was a dumb move.

Also remember than the 3DS has add-on support. If that petition succeeds maybe they will release the missing languages as a DLC. Maybe.

i'm italian but i always play in english, no mudkip given.[\b]
i feel sorry for others though :/

Its catching on :creep:

Ahem, I have to be honest with you. This seems like troll bait to me.
WHOA! HOLD YOUR FLAME PEEPS!
First of all, IMO the VA sucks anyway (Why... why are there such long pauses in between your sentences!) so I cant give a Mudkip.

Second, Maybe its not as much of a problem of being cheap (not to say its not a factor) but more of space. Remember this is also going to be for digital download, and just the demo took a good 50 minutes even in download later.

Third, Well, before I say this I would like to ask if you are still buying the game

I got news:

It seems that Nintendo Ibérica (Spain) thought until this week that the distribution was going to be done by Koch Media (as it was with the other KH). But then they were told that Nintendo Europe would do it, and that Square-Enix did not want Italian or Spanish translations. Therefore, Nintendo Ibérica is going to file a formal complaint to Nintendo Europe, as they only want to sell the game in Spanish.

So, let's see what happens in the following days... not selling the game in Spanish or Italian will probably lower the sellings in these two countries, and more or less it can have some effect over the sellings of the 3DS....so probably Nintendo will have to argue with Square-Enix and force them to give a nice excuse for not translating the game into these two languages.

Nintendo Europe has not said anything yet, some think that this means that they will do something... I don't know...

Stay tunned!

Ya but half of that population probably won't be picking this game up anyways.

@OP: Paying more for less? What are you talking about? Just because some of the dialogue isn't in a language? What content is missing. You do realize when people refer to content in video games, they're talking about missions, story, characters, not the language of a game. Good grief. Kids these days are just way too spoiled.
Not to mention that most 3DS games are going to be $40 at new retail price regardless of how much content they put on it *cough*SpiritCamera*cough*

Though in his defense, story and characters are going to mean a LOT less to someone if the said characters and story aren't presented in a language they understand.

It's in english and spanish either way correct? What's not to understand. How is it any different from JRPG's that come to NA that have japanese VO's and english text.

Oh? I must've misunderstood. I was under the impression that it would have neither VOs or text in Spanish.

Remember One Piece that was split in two games because due to the Multi-5 localizations apparently there wasn't any space left for the second game?
Maybe Square Enix experienced a shortage of space and decided to include only the most important languages in europe? Hm..but at the end of the day all comes down to money because they could have bought cards with more space.

Personally, it won't, since I'm an English philologist. But it isn't the common thing here in Spain. Games in English sell really bad... that's why most companies translate their games, and so did Square Enix... until this.

I can understand the frustration.

XD No I was refering to the OP. Didn't mean to confuse you. The only reason I quoted your post was because you said "Don't give a mudkip" which I assumed you because I coined that term in the USN hoping it caught on. Your post doesn't sound trollish at all and I actually agree with you.

This has no sense... Heroes of Ruin from SE released this month was translated (sub and dub)!

I'd be alright with even if it had only english! :D
Games in portuguese are quite rare, and usually they use Portugal's portuguese, wich is far different than Brazilian portuguese!
For me, it's easier to understand spanish than Portugal's portuguese! :P
