Spyro Reignited Trilogy delayed

IMG_0381.JPG

Originally scheduled for a September 21st release, Activision have regretfully informed fans that they would have to wait a little bit longer for their remake of the classic Spyro series. Toys for Bob, the ones behind the remake cited that the Reignited Trilogy "needs love and care", which means it had to be pushed to November 13. The remake of Spyro 1-3 will be available on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when it launches on its new release date, while a PC and Switch version have been accidentally leaked multiple times, but not confirmed yet.

Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyrotrilogy after all these years. We're deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.

The adventure continues,

It would if they used 64GB carts.
why would they need 64 gb cartridges?

crash trilogy was 20+gb on ps4 and on switch with all the content it was only 5.2gb size

huge textures is what makes most of the sizze, switch wont need 4k textures and such so yeah even if the spyreo trilogy is something like 40gb they can probably fit it on a 16gb switch cartridge since they reduced crash trilogy size 4 times lol.

It makes my heart sad, but my wallet happy. I have too much to buy already in September.

I'm just tired of buying a cartridge to play offline, popping it into my system right after I buy it, and having it flat-out REFUSE TO PLAY because they were too fucking lazy to put the full game on the cart. So have to wait until I get home, connect it to the internet, and wait for like an hour while it downloads a 10GB "update" (the rest of the game). All because they wanted to keep costs down. Wolfenstein II at least let's you play it until you get left with a cliffhanger ending, just to tell you you need to download the rest of the game to continue. Smash 4 on 3DS is one game that won't let you play AT ALL without an "update" first. This practice is becoming bullshit, and as a consumer that plays on the go without internet readily available all the time, it's frustrating!!!

Games are just becoming too internet-dependant and it's only getting worse. I fear that physical copies will not be made in the near future, and everything will just gamestream from their servers 100% of the time and require an online connection to play any games over a certain size or by publisher at their discretion . Mostly to curb piracy and keep used sales at a minimum.

whatever you said doesn't changed the fact that you were telling lies about smash 3ds and there is only 5 or so physical switch games that actually require internet to be playable.

Yeah, okay... Because I could TOTALLY play it on the car ride home, right? Every time I tried to launch the game, it straight-up REFUSED TO FUCKING LAUNCH, and wanted a day-1 update installed first.

you probably had a outdated system update and not smash update...

the day one update only enabled online play, you can play the game offline just fine without any update...

just delete your save data and your update data and the game runs fine.
