So i am on 5.50 firmware waiting for you know what must not be named, am getting nervous because bigger games coming out soon and i feel its only a matter of time before it say u need update to play but anyways the surprise. I got the spyro disc and there were no games on it. What do i mean? Well you can choose between the 3 remakes but you cant play untill you download a 30gb file from psn, and once that file downloads itll say update firmware to go on, i declined ofc, and was able to play riptos rage. But since when did they start selling games that require full download from psn, what was the point of the cd then if i wasnt worried about being on latest firmware?
Yeah it’s known that the spyro games need downloads, obvious update-to-protect-ip tactics.
Again, no 5.5x has ever been promised for release, and all devs are working hard on 5.05 homebrew: so either shelve your console and hope for a miracle, or update and enjoy the games.
