I've been looking through the various Splatoon related threads, but it's not very clear as to what types of things can get you banned. I'm looking at doing client-side cosmetic changes, but I can't seem to find anything specifying which files can be safely changed. It's particularly confusing since sometimes there seem to be multiple ways of doing the same thing that are safe and unsafe.

I'm looking to be able to change:
-Music (Already Working with the music tool)
-Stage/Weapon/Gear Textures (Including night stages)
-Ink Colors
-Models (Including octolings)
-Text

Again, I'm only interested in changing these locally. For instance, I know there's the colorizer tool, but it functions by actually setting the ink color that gets sent online. However, a similar tool that merely makes the normal colors display differently would work.

It sounds like Cafiine is basically the tool I would want, but I still don't know which files would be the proper ones to replace if I want to keep it local.

I'm using the latest version of splathax and splatoon. I'm using a mac (not splatmac, because i couldn't find a download link). i used tcpgecko to get my ip. nothing showed up when i hit connect. there is a black circle where the shoe editor should be. am i doing something wrong?
