I feel betrayed by Nintendo... Their hardware was always easily exploitable, and all of a sudden it's not. I don't like it, democracy is only real by voting with your wallet, but it's too late now anyways. Nobody should have bought that thing with it's $80 games.

Thankfully I still have my backlog of NES games and I got back into playing 3DS, so I can do without.

It took over a year for a public exploit ontthe Switch. Would probably be taken longer if not for Team Xecuter announcing their product.

Since the NDS the hardware has not been «easy» exploitable. the switch was exploitable by an error of manufacturer. for the DS and 3DS you needed a special cartdrige and the N64 was not a piece of cake until now.

the first switch was so early hacked, because of an error made by NVidia and not Nintendo.
I mean Nvidia is the one making the chips so no wonder. Kinda funny how such a big company leaves a big ass security flaw for the second best selling console for all time lmfaoo.

Not just Nintendo. Teslas and a whole lot more

What if a couple years in, some crazy exploit gets released - in terms of timing it would be better so that there are far more unpatched units out there if it's a hardware level exploit?

I wouldn't expect a hardware exploit (anything is possible though). The Wii and WiiU were software modded.

Just for discussion sake. Does anyone remember when exactly the 3ds was hacked? I specficallly remember around that time when X/Y came out the 3ds still wasn't hacked (or at least no method that was easily doable by the public)

This made the first few months of X/Y some of the best time i ever had with a Pokemon game cause every one was just enjoying the game without hacks.

Reason im bringing this up is because as we all know the 3ds was eventually hacked and i think X/Y put a really big spotlight on getting the system hacked. This seems similar to what we about to go through with Switch 2. As of now Switch 2 is not hacked and probably wont be for quite some time. But i feel like with Gen 10 releasing next year that will be the catalyst on figuring this out.

Just brainstorming outloud lol. TLDR dont ever doubt the Pokemon people. If anyone is gonna get this system hacked its them.

The Switch 2 is a far more hackproof than any 3DS system... Like 100500% more. Alas for us..

As far as i remember
The first widely available 3ds exploit was ninjahax in late 2014. But it couldn't do much but basic homebrew as well as being tied to a bad game nobody had, but it did get the ball rolling for the eventual youtube exploit and downgrading and A9LH.
