Sooner or later their will be a cheaper model iPhone since they are going to all carriers( including prepaid in a year or so).

Well ok if they do do this and this is my opinion
Stop selling 3GS and 4 and sell them out and no more production

Sell 4GS that would b the 8GB model with lil higher specs than iPhone 4 but also has the universal chip built in for all carriers tmobile sprint Verizon and AT&T, then release the iPhone 5 with major specs universal chip and sell on all carriers with 32 and 64 gb models they could drop the 16gb also with iPad 3 have 128 gb models and universal chip for a 4g model
That's my speculation o if they could also have a 4 gs with 16 gb model for 4 g network this idk could happen maybe it won't well see

Better yet, how about a relaunch of the iPod Classic? I'd kill to have a device that doesn't force an internet or phone connection upon me to be able to do anything. Also, using large flash storage instead of HDDs like they did would be faster.
