Hacking Spectrobes 2 ARM7 Fix

I'm trying to play Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals, but it always seems to freeze on some point.
1st try - clean ROM:
Tried to run it, got a white screen

2nd try - Club Penguin ARM7:
I had the save file from the first try, it got to the save initialization, then white screens

3rd try - Club Penguin ARM7:
Deleted the old save file, ran it, instant white screen

4th try - ARM7.bin fix found somewhere in the forum:
Instant white screen

5th try - Kirby Superstars Ultra ARM7:
Works fine with DGamer, in-game, after a lengthy dialog it freezes on white top and black bottom screen. Also, Kirby itself freezes at one point somewhere in the game, so that might've caused it.

I also thought if there was an AR cheat somewhere in Narin's file, but the Cheat button didn't light up, even on the clean ROM. I thought that was strange, as he has practically every game in there.

What else should I try?

I have an R4 clone, kernel 1.18.

You could try YSMenu.
It might be one of those games that just can't be fixed.

And about the cheat thing not lighting up, that is because the R4's Cheat capacity is limited. Basically, it can only show a limited number of games cheats.

It runs fine without anything. Just format your card or put less games to free up some extra space.

Any other alternatives? I'm not that fond of YSMenu.

Judging by how Heatman says it works, I am guessing you maybe just got a bad dump. Have you tried an alternate download?

Yeah, same result.

EDIT:
HeatMan AdvanceIt runs fine without anything. Just format your card or put less games to free up some extra space.

I did that just now, works fine so far. Let's see how far...
EDIT2: Okay, I'm past the long dialog and it's still working. I doubt it's gonna freeze now. Thanks!
