hi at all,

if I wanted to hack my spare Wii U without the hassle of system transfer... would getting a new NNID and buying Dr. Kawashima for Haxchi be the best way?

And would I need to get title.tik files for the games I download from USB helper? Or are those ready to install and play?

best wishes!

Thanks, but for DLC I still need to load CFW before starting, right?

yes, all eshop only content requires cfw.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

there's a way to inject your information into that content, but it can be complicated if you don't know what you're doing. it requires you to inject that information into the .tik files. I've never personally done it, I only know that it's possible.

can I just install the games in the same folder structure Wii U USB helper uses for wupinstaller?
I mean: DLC/game1
GAMES/game1
UPDATES/game1

?!

I think they need to go in the install folder on the root of the sd card followed by a single folder with all the content for each item (i.e. sd:install/the legend of zelda breath of the wild game , sd:install/the legend of zelda breath of the wild update x , sd:install/the legend of zelda dlc . I hope that makes sense. alternatively, you can have wii u usb helper place the content on the sd card and in the right places. I usually just do mine manually. it's pretty easy.

great, thanks for letting me know. I already have some games downloaded using wii U USB helper. how can I now let the tool copy them to SD? I guess that option is only available BEFORE downloading, right?

I believe injects use the official emulators. the worst that could happen is either the game not running or one of those question mark block errors where the game won't boot at all.

but how are N64 games emulated? GameCube games use the Wii hardware and nintendont as a "bridge", right?
do N64 games use the official Nintendo emulator?!
N64 Injects either use Not64(N64 emulator for Wii) and GC games are injected with Nintendon't.

I wasn't sure if there was an n64 emulator (officially that is) since I don't play that on my system.

There must be official one because Nintendo has official injects and there’s an app that you inject to base files. But compatibility isn’t guaranteed so users then fall back on Wii n64 emus

now that I think about it, I did buy donkey kong 64. I had forgotten about that one. I've bought 76 games, all digital. :D
