Hey friends,
I want to completely reset my Emunand, like a factory reset. Can I just go about it like I would on a unhacked 3DS, from the system settings? I'm on a menuhax setup, will such a reset hurt anything? My nands are unlinked if that matters.

Thank in advance.

You can, but I'd suggest trying Tiny Format first. Won't erase the card. If that doesn't do a complete enough reset for you, then do it with System Settings. If you do use System Settings, you probably need to backup the card. Because you're probably going to re-link in the process. From my experience, the reset is not random. So you'll probably have to do it twice to get on a clean profile.

Problem is I already updated to firmware 11 with reinand 4.0 it says it has error but boots up fine and says rei 11.x. But it will still try to update and error out even with reinand 4.1.

There's two options I guess. You can wait for 4.2, or update with a different CFW. I updated with Luma. It got the job done. So would Cakes. Just don't forget to enable the firm protection. I suppose the fanboys call that heresy, but I run all 3 major CFWs (for that matter, I still use my GW, because it still has it's uses). They're all free. Taking sides just limits your options. Same goes for console wars.

Well guess I'll wait everything works fine besides it sometimes hit me with the update notification again.

I guess it's not like you need the new NATIVE_FIRM yet. Most people aren't even using it. I'll be surprised if Nintendo doesn't deliberately wait a while before dropping the other shoe and updating MSET and/or Home Menu. They're telegraphing. They didn't even kill SVCHax. I think they've figured out "go get one while you can downgrade" is selling units, so they're deliberately ensuring the scenario will repeat.

Nintendo just can't secure their systems, arm9 exploit for 11.0 wasn't even all that hard to find

Personally, I'd use all rights reserved. ReiNand was probably intended to have that at first and Rei never bothered fixing file headers, because in the end, nobody cares
Got that guys? No one cares about respecting licenses.

Doesn't surprise me that it comes from the guy who used GPL licensed code in a closed source project.

With ARN code to be precise. (remnants of the reboot patch at the very least).
There were the ARN memsearch patterns (like "ess9", "exe:"), the reboot patch pattern ("OPEN"), the strings for the FIRM cxi locating code (folder names, blank 00000000.app string) and at least the arm9loader function was copy-pasted as you found out.

Can you even read? I said nobody cares, but about the file headers.
Also, nice to see you and the others fell for the bait release, my project was never intended to be released

And yet the binaries were posted on a public pastebin, and they clearly included GPL licensed code, but without the source. That breaks the license agreement ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I didn't bother looking at licenses for a fake binary ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ also, I don't see how any of this is relevant to the thread. It seems like you people just enjoy discussing about this kind of things and what other people do
