Oh, I see, I tried to play around with the source code and port the aureinand firm0/1 patches there but it fails to boot

No. There was one for Pokémon games, but it got removed. I recommend NTR CFW for taking screenshots.
Will they ever consider adding the feauture again just like HANS solution? And what was the key combo? (just want to test it)

BTW can the screnshot function be compiled manually with newer builds of the reiNAND CFW?

Taking screenshots from ARM9 is impractical (as you read, it only worked with pokemon games).
For cool things like region free (home menu patching), screenshots (and in my opinion also for a proper system settings Ver patching) you would need ARM11 code injection.

Good information! How's aureinand coming along? Going region free yet?

Two skilled reverse engineers I know failed to do that, as of today. It's not easy. As I've openly said more than once, sadly I'm not a reverse engineer (I'm barely starting to understand some ARM ASM).
Sorry about that :/

That's nothing to be sorry about! It takes a great deal of knowledge to do the things you and the others do. Each failure is one step closer to success.
