Do they? I know really old versions used to, but the new code is so hard to read that I could never figure out what they were trying to do.

It looks like I'm wrong about that - I hadn't looked at the source in awhile. They do seem to patch some k11 function to patch Home Menu when it gets loaded.

Use AuReiNAND if you want SysNAND.

ReiNAND does not support o3ds. Use AuReiNAND if you want o3ds.

No, you need to be on 7.x.

If you're on 4.x you pretty much need rxTools. Or you can upgrade to 9.2 and avoid problems in the future.

Not this version but there was Reinand 1 that supported 4.x on old 3ds. Im not sure if it will support latest emunand. Ive not used it for well over a year

Thanks but it a a very early version and could have a lot of bugs. I use 10.7 emunand with rxtools 3.0 and Cakes but cannot use gba vc on emunand and do not want to install staff on sysnand. So i am trying to search for something alternative

Yeah, you need to be on AuReiNAND for that.
RxTools doesn't let you play DS/GBA games.
Cakes either let's you play games such as Smash, or DS/GBA games, but not both.
AuReiNAND let's you do both.

So either update to 9.2 and install menuhax+AuReiNAND, or go install A9LH and use AuReiNAND that way.

So only DS games are broken? I though reboot patches (the old version at least, since only AuReiNAND uses the newer version) broke DS and GBA games? It does on Cakes.

I used to use rxTools w/ reboot patches and it worked with GBA games as long as you patched AGB_FIRM in SysNAND also. Not sure about DS games, I never tried.

I have the N3DS and O3DS AGB_FIRM's. Ive installed them with devmenu and fbi. I posted them awhile ago on a that "iso site". They are pretty safe to install and you cant brick your 3ds from a modded AGB_firm because it was later on in the 3ds firmwares i believe. Would you like the N3DS one?

Could the splash be made to be shown right up until home menu fades in (or right before that if the screen fix for 3D has to turn it off breifly)? Or is that impossible for some reason?

I also saw in the splash screen thread about the bottom splash, is that only for AuReiNAND? (mine did not show up anyway).

I do not believe your first request is possible.

Bottom splash screen is for AuReiNAND only.
