So out of curiosity, the arm9loaderhax.bin posted by Rei, does that boot into the emunand that was originally created? If so, is it firmlaunching 9.0-9.2 or is it still doing 10.2?

Or is this just patching sysnand.

It boots into your emuNAND, and it firmlaunches 10.2.

Got it. I guess what I was trying to figure out is since it's launching 10.2, we won't have access to ARM9 anymore to restore the system correct? At least until the tools come out to do so, it would require a hardmod correct?

Also to be sure I got this right, arm9loaderhax.3dsx and .elf should be in your 3ds folder like normal homebrew, and do firm0, firm1, sector, and stage0x5c000 go in the root? As well as arm9loader.bin?

only arm9loaderhax.3dsx is needed.

also, "AuReiNand" lets you do 9.0 firmlaunch on sysnand so you can still use Decrypt9/EmuNAND9/etc.

I grabbed the payload from earlier (page 19x), but I recall Rei saying we had to comment out some stuff. Is that still the case? Or does the payload take care of not having to do that? Also, should I compile the newest build, or can I use the 3.2 that I've been using with menuhax?

The payload should be good to go. As for the build, I don't think it'd really matter, your call.

Yes, it's still the case if you're using A9LH. We don't have screen init (in other words, graphics) yet, so no splash screen stuff is possible. Just use the payload Rei compiled and uploaded for now. If you end up needing sysNAND stuff, use AuReiNand temporarily.

Cbeans, just wanted to make sure I could use that payload and the current build. I've read so much in the past few days, got kinda lost with what all was needed. My brain isn't what it used to be (I'm only 26 haha).

Happily and patiently waiting for the next official ReiNand release that was mentioned a page or so back

Simple, boots to emuNAND or press any button for sysNAND

That will suit me just fine and am happy to wait for it :)

That's exactly what AuReiNand does right now so why not use that whilst waiting? It's not like any of this is permanent, it's just a case of deleting folders to change stuff if you ever want to go back to the original.

Good luck, and don't be put off by all the confusion going on in that thread right now. I guarantee 99% of it is due to people rushing and not taking the time or care to do things properly.

I think two builds actually had issues (I can't vouch for that though, I never had any issues with any builds).

Latest build (3.5.3) should be fine though.

this is reiNAND thread so i need help here
i downloaded from here

https://github.com/Reisyukaku/ReiNand/releases

extracted to the root of SD card and made ctr boot to reinand.dat which is in the root o SD card , but that made my cosnole freeze
i also tried reinand.3dsx but also nothing.

N3DS XL, 9.2 sysnand , there is already GW with 10.5 emunand

edit: it worked
but, when i exit from DStwo (DS card) or any legit DS game it's like i am exiting from system settings and system is restarted.

any way to fix that?

Last edited by aos10,
It's normal, the 3DS has to reboot into NATIVE_FIRM.
Oh, I also noticed that in sysnand
It's like when you exit from heavy game like super smash on o3ds the system restart.

N3DS should not supposed to restart.

What will happen in case or permanent CFW?
