Weird thing, I updated to the latest release and no i am not using arm9loaderhax, but now for some reason black boxes that nevr where there showed up in emunand? this is stuff from another world.

It's not the A9LH that makes the black boxes show, It's the CFW region-free feature in case you have a cia installed in your NAND when it had to be installed on SD

That's it. Any idea on how to find out which title it is, so that thing can be deleted? I also have a black box.

I really don't know, cause it never happened to me, but I think you have to see the things you could have installed in the NAND instead in the SD and search for any of then using FBI, I guess

Well that's not easy to say as any stuff you install to NAND like AGB_FIRM also shows as a title in FBI obviously. Really hard to tell what it could be. I just moved that black box out of sight.
Where might I find the installation method for this CFW? I just recalled just now that it was not shown here.
Reinand is stupid easy to install. Put \rei and reinand.dat on your microsd, point your bootmanager to reinand.dat, done. Again, just check my tutorial, it's in there.

If you use menuhax, then put the ReiNand.dat, rei folder and the 3ds folder in the SD root and the use starts it using some *hax entry points

If you use A9LH, setup your payload loader to find and start the ReiNand .bin payload for A9LH and the rei folder in the root

As simple as this?

Can't you refer me a link to it? A tutorial perhaps?

Simple as this, the thing you maybe need a tutorial is when you use some kind of payloader like lesshax, ctrbootmanager or ctrboot, but you can start using the Homebrew menu

I'm already getting a good idea of the installation process even without the guide since having personally installed both BrowserHax and MenuHax in my own unit. Just trying to boot Reinand from there is already simple enough if I could just place the right files in their respective folders in my micro-SD Card.

Dude. Seriously?

Just go to my tutorial, it covers everything from start to finish.
Sorry, I still have not gone into reading your full tutorial yet. Now that I mention it, I am now kind of confused of which CFW to go for to. I'm stuck between Reinand and AuReiNand (without A9LH).

It is as simple as that. Put it on the card, and boot it with whatever way you like - menuhax, or ctrbootmanager.
I have literally just now switched my tutorial to AuReiNand though, as ReiNand removed O3DS again and AuReiNand supports both. Feature-wise they're quite similar, if you just want to use EmuNAND without any fancy experimental stuff.

AuReiNand it is then. I'm likely to go this route during my free time. I'm still quite swamped with work (gigs).

I appreciate all the insights so far, by the way.

So AuReiNand > rxTools ¿

While rxTools works as intended still as a CFW, it is already becoming dated with little signs of catching up. AuReiNand is basically Reinand, but better.

AuRei isn't better than any up-to-date CFW
ReiNand - Keep minimalist and easy to use
AuReiNand - The idea is a noob-friendly CFW, easy to use and full of features
CakesFW - The idea of full control and easy to customize the patch features
Mizuki - SysNAND only
RxTools - Even super outdated, it fits for the end user that don't care for GBA and DSi games and don't want A9LH

Every CFW have their end user, and if their features fits the end user then the CFW is better for that specific user.

Saying that x CFW is better than y, z is negative for the scene and it's a lie, so PLEASE, stop that
If you want reasons:
  1. Saying that is negative to the developer and it incentive they get out the scene and move they projects as private sources;
  2. The devs moving their projects as private sources makes the scene evolve slowly;
  3. The end user without programming skills will end up without any exploit/CFW/homebrew updated (or never released in the next generation);

So AuReiNand > rxTools ¿

If you ask like that,
At the moment every other cfw > rxtools.

AuReiNand is the mightiest, then comes reinand and cakes with the major difference that reinand is easier to set up but cakes also supports o3ds and stuff like multiple emunand, and then comes rxtools as it lost literally everything of the features that made it the best choice some months ago. Plus it's confusing to set up for newbies
