This is the ReiNand thread, if members want to discuss alternative CFW's they should do so on the respective threads and show respect to this CFW developer in the process
We kind of are, it's just weird to have released an old3DS version with the last version, then remove it with this release.

It will be back, he is making a lot of changes atm, o3ds users use the older version for the time being, functionality will be restored in a newer release

I updated to Reinand 3.8 and when I booted to Emunand there was a new cia(I guess) installed with a black thumbnail and no banner. When I clicked on it it stuck on the 3DS ''loading'' sequence and had to reboot. What is its purpose exactly?

You've inadvertently installed a.cia to your NAND instead of your SD card.

Weird thing, I updated to the latest release and no i am not using arm9loaderhax, but now for some reason black boxes that nevr where there showed up in emunand? this is stuff from another world.

Nah, looks like you installed some stuff in the wrong place(NAND stuff in the SD, SD stuff in the NAND), you should check it out.

i just did, i uninstalled some things that showed "ctr-nand" with unknown tittle id's (gba games") that i never installed to nand, this is weird.
