Misc Soul Silver M3i Zero Blue Error Screen

On my m3i zero im using teh patched JAP rom with Rykins patch to test soul silver(I have the retail but this is for my bro), whenever I connect to wifi with a friend I can voice chat but whenever I try to battle or trade after the communication please wait screen it jumps to a blue error screen which says a communication error has occurred

Any suggestions?

The japanese version of HGSS was Never perfectly fixed and to play it I needed to use Rudolphs patch
