Just check what your .3ds file size is before wasting your time trimming games.

quite a few games id like to try are 2gb to 4gb... so best to trim these if i can. But id like to know if its safe to trim them with tokyo rom trimmer... and if anyone has done this.
as some seem to think you can and others so you cant... and some say you can trim but not super trim.

Try it and you will know it will not damage the sky3ds by the way only the micro sd card is affected. So if it not working just format micro sd again

cant try it as i dont get my sky3ds till next week :(
surely if a trimmed rom didnt work, i can just delete it.... and then download the rom again but not trim it

No need the download again if you made a copy of the rom before trimming

Yep you can trim all your roms and they work fine using CTR (which makes a copy & also has a untrim function which i've never used). I have a 64gb card and have put a lot of stuff on it. 3DS games can be huge so imho the smaller you can make them to fit the better.

***Also I don't know which Sky3ds card you got, the blue button one or the two orange buttons one but if you got the latter you don't need diskwriter at all.
It's just copy paste.
You will need to update the firmware on the card to the latest v10.1 but that can only be done when you actually get the card.
