Is there a wii u port for sonic 2

Honestly I’d be fine with the basic black with white tex menus we had on the 3DS and PS Vita I just wanted a proper menu with save functionality.

Yep, I always thought about that. Basic menus like the ones used on the Vita port would be at least more than enough for playability.

I tested them earlier they seem to be exactly the same versions I already have, no updates.

Also I can’t seem to be able to exit from Sonic CD back to the HBL though other than that it seems to work fine, even my edited Sonic CD videos run fine as I restored the vocals to the Japanese audio before which was even used in the 3DS port

Hopefully Sonic 1&2 will eventually be updated to support saving.

Always thought the videos weren't supported, as there is no mention anywhere in the Github. So it needs OGVs inthe SonicCD folder, then.

Never understood how the 3DS got better ports of Sonic 1/2/CD while the ones on the Vita can’t even run more than 10 minutes without completely crashing.

I got told on Discord that there are mods for RSDKv4 (Sonic Forever & Sonic 2 Absolute) which happen to include 2D menus that actually work on Wii U. This is great since I don't have to fix the 3D ones

I didn't know there was an issue with saving, I'll have to check on that. Would y'all be mad if I made them .wuhbs?

Any updates on this? Been eager since you first brought it up.

Is there an .rpx I can download for 2 Absolute on Wii U?

EDIT: Nevermind I figured out how to get it to work, it's just a mod you have to activate with the version of Sonic 2 we already have. Was a little tricky, but I figured it out, cheers!

sonic 2 absolute works but not sonic 1 forever

Hey, just a heads up, while the latest build of Sonic 1 Forever (1.4.2) freezes after passing the title screen, the previous builds (1.4.1 as well as 1.4.0 and probably even more earlier builds) works great on the Wii U.

really now? i used 1.4.2 and it did crashed on me too but never thought to get a later release. 1.4.1 freezes too?

Yeah I've tried messing around with mods for the Sonic CD decomp on Wii U, but couldn't figure it out. Not sure if they're compatible with the Wii U version or not.
